A comprehensive look at the services LADMS provideĀ
Anticoagulation Service
Anticoagulation is the use of anticoagulants, or blood thinners, to prevent or treat blood clots in the heart and blood vessels. Anticoagulants are commonly prescribed to people who are at high risk of developing blood clots, which can lead to serious conditions like strokes and heart attacks. Anticoagulants work by slowing down the body's process of forming clots, but they don't completely stop blood from clotting. This means that wounds take longer to stop bleeding, which is one of the main side effects of anticoagulants.
