Enhanced Access Service

A comprehensive look at the services LADMS provideĀ

Enhanced Access Service

We provide GP Enhanced Access for the following PCNs: Meridian, First Coastal and First Coastal Coast. We deliver this service either by telephone consultations or by face to face at the following sites, Skegness Hospital, Beacon Medical Practice, Marisco Medical Practice, Alford War Memorial Hospital, Alford, and Louth Hospital.

This is an initiative aimed at improving access to general practice services by extending the hours during which patients can receive care. The goal is to make it easier for people to access medical services at times that are more convenient for them, particularly outside of the traditional 9 AM to 5 PM working hours. This can include early morning, evening, and weekend appointments.

Key Features:

1. Enhanced Hours: GP practices offer appointments beyond standard working hours, such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends, allowing more flexibility for patients.

2. Increased Availability: Patients have more opportunities to see a GP or other healthcare professionals, reducing the need to take time off work or other commitments.

3. Range of Services: Enhanced access often includes not just GP consultations but also appointments with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals for routine check-ups, chronic condition management, and other services.

4. Collaboration Between Practices: Due to this service being delivered on a PCN footprint it allows several GP practices to collaborate with LADMS to provide enhanced access, meaning patients might attend appointments at a different practice within their local area.

These appointments are only bookable via your own GP surgery.
