Advice & Guidance

A comprehensive look at the services LADMS provide

Advice & Guidance Service

Advice and Guidance (A+G) is a service which helps healthcare providers receive support from local hospitals/specialised clinicians/consultants. Only clinicians can book directly into the A+G provision, which can include, but is not limited to, dermatology (i.e. suspicious-looking skin lesions, skin rashes and reactions), medication, referral pathways, further diagnostic requirements (such as MRIs/endoscopy…etc), and more.

This service provides educational learning to clinicians, as it provides a holistic approach to care and management of patients. The service can also mitigate referral rejections, prevent delay to patient care, and enable the possibility of patients being managed within the community setting.

If the specialist consultant deems the patient needs a referral, they can convert this directly into one, which will save delay on the practice then creating and sending a referral.
